General Administration of Customs: China Imported 380,000 Tons of Unwrought Aluminum and Aluminum Products in April

According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, in April 2024, China exported 520,000 tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, an increase of 12.9% year-on-year. From January to April, the cumulative export volume was 2 million tons, up 8.8% year-on-year.

In April, China exported 130,000 tons of alumina, a year-on-year increase of 78.8%. The cumulative export volume from January to April was 550,000 tons, up 46.1% year-on-year.

In April, China imported 380,000 tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, an increase of 72.1% year-on-year. From January to April, the cumulative import volume was 1.49 million tons, up 86.6% year-on-year.

In April, China imported 14.24 million tons of aluminum ore and its concentrates, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year. The cumulative import volume from January to April was 50.5 million tons, up 6.2% year-on-year.
